This active infrared proximity sensor module features an IR transmitter LED paired with a photodiode receiver. It utilizes an onboard LM393 comparator IC to detect obstacle presence or black/white line contrast with high precision. The onboard potentiometer allows easy calibration of detection range between 2 cm and 30 cm. It outputs a simple digital signal, making it highly suitable for line-follower robots, obstacle-avoidance vehicles, production line object counting, and proximity detection systems.
